Project Details: CSFS supplied the interior panels to this new insulated concrete private house in Napa. Designed by the owner, architect David Horobin lost his previous home in a fire and wanted to ensure that his new home was built to the highest safety standards.

Steel is a practical choice today. Not only is the quality of available wood unreliable, but with steel frames, it’s only a question of providing the manufacturers with measurements and having a truck deliver the assembled walls. Workers can install them in a matter of hours.

The labor savings are huge. They’ve delivered the perfect size and height. About three-quarters were installed in one day, whereas a traditional frame would have taken a week. With the cost savings in labor, it works out to be less expensive.
